Adapting to students’ needs.
Metro North Adult Basic Education (ABE) was fully online during the pandemic offering all classes virtually. When in-person classes started again, teachers found that many students were requesting to stay online for various reasons including transportation and child care issues. Supervisors put their heads together and utilized technology that would allow them to offer Hybrid-Flexible or Hyflex classes in order to offer the community education experience to more people in a way that works for them.
