Committees
To encourage wide involvement of members and advance the mission of the organization, MCEA has eight volunteer committees. Each committee has an identified charge and meets regularly throughout the year. Committee chairs oversee the work of the committees and provide updates and recommendations to the Board of Directors. This committee structure helps distribute the work of the organization while holding true to the focus of MCEA as a statewide organization reflective of the talents and skills of its members.
Alumni Committee
The MCEA Alumni Committee is here to update you on the work of MCEA and help you keep friendships and connections active during your retirement years!
Equity Committee
Ensure awareness and accessibility to quality resources that are inclusive of the needs of all community members in order to eliminate opportunity gaps.
Finance Committee
The finance committee is responsible to assure the financial health and sustainability of the Minnesota Community Education Association.
Leadership Committee
The Leadership Advisory Council ensures coordination with the board and enhances awareness of the work of the permanent committees of MCEA.
Marketing & Communications Committee
Implement a sustainable statewide marketing and advocacy campaign and identify emerging best practices and program data.
PDMS Committee
Professional Development and Member Services Committee - Implement professional development activities for MCEA members and promote membership.
RALLI Committee
Resource, Advocacy & Legislative Leadership Initiative Committee - Develop financial resources and strengthen Community Ed programs statewide through advocacy.
School Age Care Committee
Engage School Age care members and provide resources and support to train, retain, and develop School Age Care professionals.
