Description:
Community Education Office Assistant, 1.0 FTE at Shakopee Community Education, approximately 260 work days at 8 hours/day – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Job Summary:
The Community Education Office Assistant will support the work of the Community Education department through customer service, clerical and logistical support for Saber Connection, Facility Scheduling and Events and other Community Education programming. Duties will include answering phones, billing and registration, coordinate payments and deposits, purchasing of supplies, send mass emails for Saber Connection.  Responsible for key code entry system management for families and facility users and other duties as assigned. Those applying for the position must be enthusiastic, self motivated, personable, able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, and have exceptional computer skills. 

Pay & Benefits:
Pay range $24.98 to $28.99/hr depending on experience. (Grade 5)  A competitive benefit package is also available and includes the following-

Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills.
Two years clerical experience or equivalent, preferred.
Previous experience in a school/community education setting preferred.

Previous Arux Software knowledge preferred.
Familiarity with telephone and computer systems.
Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive demeanor.
High school diploma or equivalent. 

Working Conditions: Office, lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, keyboarding, etc.
