DESCRIPTION: Oversee all aspects of weekend facility rentals as the District’s on-site representative. Ensure rental groups follow agreements and district policies through active monitoring and positive engagement. Coordinate facility access, resolve scheduling conflicts, assist with setup and cleanup, and maintain communication between rental users and district staff.
Position Summary:
Oversee all aspects of weekend facility rentals as the District’s on-site representative. Ensure rental groups follow agreements and district policies through active monitoring and positive engagement. Coordinate facility access, resolve scheduling conflicts, assist with setup and cleanup, and maintain communication between rental users and district staff.
A year-round position with schedules that vary depending on rental permit requests. Hours could include day/evening weekday and weekend hours. The hourly rate is $30.00.
Primary Job Functions:
- Work with custodians to ensure facility rental user needs are met and that district facility policies and rental agreements are enforced.
- Provides customer service to all rental users in the facility and on the grounds.
- Is a positive role model for respectful behavior and problem solving strategies.
- Be visible and present for facility and grounds rental users as the primary point of contact.
- Opens and closes classrooms/gyms, fine arts facilities, district fields, and other spaces as scheduled for rental groups.
- Monitors facilities and grounds use by conducting walk-throughs and positively connecting with rental user groups.
- Returns a child to the care of an available parent or group leader when found wandering outside the assigned rental area.
- Solve scheduling conflicts on site as necessary.
- Implement behavioral guidelines and consequences for facility rental users.
- Assist rental groups with cleanup responsibilities, ensuring spaces are returned to proper condition according to rental agreements.
- Document and report any facility damage, policy violations, or incidents occurring during rental periods.
- Demonstrates prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
- Maintain accurate reporting figures as requested, including rental usage logs and incident reports.
Job Specifications: (Education, License, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Flexibility to work at all district locations as needed.
- Availability to work weekend hours (Saturdays and Sundays) with occasional Friday evening coverage.
- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact positively with rental users, parents, staff, supervisors, and community members.
- Strong customer service skills with ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to accuracy.
- Ability to understand and enforce rental agreements and district facility use policies.
- Ability to perform light cleaning duties and assist with facility setup/cleanup as needed.
- Prompt, regular, and reliable attendance.
