This position will coordinate district-wide Youth and Family programs (included but not limited to Kids’ SAFARI School Age Child Care and Preschool SAFARI).

Hours:
   8 hours per day
   5 days per week
   12 months

Salary:
   See Community Education Salary Schedule Pay Level 11

Experience:
Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, social work, or other related field

      • 5-7 years of program management and staff supervision experience

      • 5-7 years of school age child care and/or preschool program experience

    Preferred:

        • Experience in a school district before/after school care program

        • Previous work with staff mentorship and on-going education

        • Demonstrated ability to prepare, monitor and control program budgets, ensure fiscal accountability.

        • Experience in CCAP Certification.

        • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, to meet program needs.

        • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

        • Perform other duties as assigned. 

      Responsibilities:

          • Excellent program management skills such as supervision, program development, budgeting, marketing and evaluation.

          • Knowledge of best practice/quality in School Age and Preschool Care programs, maintain accountability in all aspects of the program complying with standards and guidelines of accreditation, school district policies and procedures and Minnesota Statutes.

          • Demonstrates training and experience in group facilitation and conflict resolution, plan and facilitate staff meetings, in-services and professional development training for staff.

          • Proficient with technology, including Apple and Google computer operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, as well as registration systems.

          • Excellent skills in the areas of communication, collaboration, organization, evaluation and team building.

          • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

          • Select, train, supervise, support, and evaluate nine Youth and Family Coordinators at 9 elementary schools and Pre School

          • Deliver top-notch customer service to program participants and their families
