Position Summary:
White Bear Lake Community Education & Recreation is looking for an energetic, skilled, and motivated Youth Recreation Specialist to lead youth recreation sports and activities across the district. The position will coordinate and perform difficult administrative work creating, planning and supervising youth recreation opportunities for elementary, middle and high school students, facilitating training and meetings for staff and volunteers working in Recreation Programs, and related work as apparent and assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Facilities and Middle School Athletics Coordinator. Moderate oversight is exercised over staff, volunteers and vendors.

Education and/or Experience:  
Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Community Education, Parks and Recreation, Youth Activities, or related field and moderate experience coordinating, creating or implementing youth recreation opportunities, working with programs for pre-k through 12th grade youth,  or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expected Starting Salary: $62,400 (Exempt from Overtime) 

Expected Start Date: October 20, 2025

Work Week Schedule: 12 month –260 day working calendar with some night and weekend commitments

Special Requirements:
CPR/First Aid required within six (6) months of hire.
Valid driver’s license.
