Salary: Starting at $63,000 Competitive DOQ

Summary:
Provide leadership, development, implementation and evaluation of Youth Enrichment and Youth Development programming which effectively meets the needs of our diverse community.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Development, Education or closely related field or equivalent direct experience
2. Minimum of three years’ administrative experience
3. Inter-cultural competency with excellent human relation skills and experience working with diverse youth and families
4. Creativity and passion for maximizing the impact of youth programs for positive youth development
5. Demonstrated experience determining needs and interests of a diverse community and creating responsive programs
6. Knowledge of best practice and quality standards in youth programs
7. Excellent planning and management skills such as programming, supervision, budgeting and evaluation
8. Excellent communication, organization, collaboration and problem-solving skills
9. Proficient with technology
10. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.  Skilled in managing multiple priorities and programs simultaneously
11. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities:
1. Administer, direct, develop, and oversee high-quality district-wide youth programming and provide leadership for the development and implementation of an enrichment and development program serving the youth of all ages
2. Research, design, and implement new program areas to support students and families
3. Develop systems and procedures for effective and efficient program delivery
4. Conduct program evaluation and use data to inform decisions in providing high quality and responsive programming
5. Facilitate collaboration between community education and District 622 schools and other organizations in order to maximize the potential of youth and community education programming to meet student and family needs
6. Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate program staff including independent contractors, vendors, teachers, coaches, clerical, and other district staff.  Assist with the negotiation of instructors hired as employees and as independent contractors
7. Provide leadership and work direction to program and instructional staff, including goal-setting, development, coaching and evaluation
8. Prepare and manage program budgets; authorize program expenditures and allocations including timesheets, independent contractor invoices and contract for service forms; determine class, activity, and event pricing
9. Work with marketing specialist on a marketing plan including flyers, website, district publications, advertisements in community publications, as well as email marketing and social media
10. Proactively create opportunities through family engagement to address student, family and staff concerns as they arise
11. Assure program policies, procedures, goals, and objectives align with district direction and practices as well as quality and safety standards
12. Write and oversee application for available grants and manage awarded grants
13. Other duties as assigned
