Join us for MCEA’s community education day of advocacy on January 31, 2023.
There is still time to sign up for this event. We have 40+ folks attending already.
Our day at the capitol will help you learn about advocacy, give you a chance to meet your state senators and representatives, and discuss with them about issues important to community education. It also gives you the opportunity to share real stories about the importance of community education in your school district and community. Lastly, you will help influence the outcome on issues MCEA will be advancing in this session.
MCEA will do some training that morning to help you feel comfortable talking to legislators and help you find your way around the capitol. We will also offer “legislative visit buddies” for anyone who would like someone familiar with the process to join you.
We ask those planning to attend to register in advance here.
MCEA will send More details on scheduling your legislative appointments as we get closer to the start of the legislative session on January 3.
We hope to see you there. You can make a difference on issues important to community education!
