Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
Under the direction of the OST Youth Programs Coordinator, the OST Manager supervises Community Education program staff, daily activities, events, and stations throughout a Community Education location/site; interacts with children in activities and learning stations; provides leadership with and direction for the preparation of the Community Education location and environment for daily program events, activities, and functions; and enforces program behavioral rules and guidelines. The OST Manager develops activities and program plans that support the strategic direction of the Community Education department. The OST Manager plans, implements and supervises activities and routines to assure the safety of participants and staff, the adherence to program rules and guidelines, and the quality of service.Preferences
We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with students. Preferred candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to growth as evidenced by ongoing professional learning, as well as participation in professional organization conferences or seminars related to the content area.
1. Education Required: Two year’s college. Associate’s Degree preferred.
2. Experience Required: Three years previous experience working with school aged youth/community education programs or directly related experience required. Twelve months previous experience in a supervisory position required.
3. Certification/Licensure Required: First Aid and CPR certifications required within six (6) months of hire. Must meet eligibility requirements for a “Teacher” under Minnesota DHS licensing requirements for child care centers.
Child Care Professionals – Hourly $20.75 to $24.10, highly competitive benefit package for the region (eligible for MN DHS CCSG stipends through 6-30-23)
