Families First of Minnesota has an opening for a Mental Health and Disabilities Coordinator in its Head Start/Early Head Start Program.  This position is responsible for the disabilities and mental health domains of the EHS/HS program. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Head Start Performance Standards related to supporting children with disabilities and mental health issues.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in health or a related field, or a combined equivalent of education, experience and/or training.  Experience should include supporting social and emotional development in young children, working with community supports for children and families with special needs and supporting teachers. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards is helpful as well as experience with families from diverse and low-income populations.  Proficiency in computer and software use a must.  Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work as a part of a team.
