Hours:  Mon-Fri, 261 Contract days (year-round) – 4 hours day, 9 am – 1 pmPosition is part-time, part of the clerical bargaining unit and based in Community Education at the District Education Center.

Job Summary:
The Community Education Secretary provides administrative support to the Community Education Director and other Community Education staff in a manner that will ensure the efficient operation of the school.

General Duties:
Assists director and coordinators with various personnel activities, i.e., scheduling reviews, assisting with instructor absence and troubleshoots issues as they arise, assists with room set up and take down, and participates in Community Education Advisory Council meetings
Processes staff forms such as time sheets, check requests and maintenance reports. Maintains, records for annual report, tracks participation numbers and distributes class rosters
Performs general office or clerical tasks such as greeting visitors, screening phone calls, answering emails, enrolling the public in the Eleyo registration system and other duties.
Assist all district and CE staff with questions and/or concerns and works effectively to resolve issues promptly and accurately.
Maintains and Orders all office supplies, organizes and posts building schedule, and is responsible for appearance of building marketing areas.
Assists with Community Education annual reports and tracking data for all community events.

Minimum Requirements:
High School education and 1-2 years related experience, preferably in an educational or Community Education setting.

Qualifications:
Excels at providing excellent customer service, goes above and beyond to resolve customer issues and provide overall client satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively with administrators, district staff, parents, students, and visitors.
Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and high-level prioritization skills.
Prior experience in Google Workspace; Drive, Documents, Sheets, Forms, and Slides. Microsoft office; Excel and Word.
Prior Experience in Eleyo (Registration Customer Management Software)
Prior experience supporting administration and coordinators through scheduling, organization, and communications.  Experience handling multiple work tasks with accuracy and confidentiality.
Exhibits a positive attitude and strong motivation to complete daily work tasks.

 Starting Rate of Pay:   Hourly $20.74
