Job level 6 ($23.12 – 29.74 per hour) plus full-time benefits
Terms and Conditions of Employment for Program Assistants
8.5 hours per day, which includes eight hours of paid time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunchtime
52 weeks
Schedule Monday – Friday 9:00-5:00 pm and occasional nights and weekends

To develop, plan, organize and supervise high-quality district-wide adult education and Aquatics programs.
Plan, schedule, and manage Adult enrichment and Aquatics classes and programs.
Oversees daily program operations; evaluates and analyzes program issues, and recommends and implements solutions
Manages daily functions of registrations, cancellations, payments, and associated communications with participants and instructors
Plans, develops, implements enrichment activities for families, adults, people with special needs or disabilities, and senior citizens; ensures activities meet the current and future needs of the department, district, and community
Engages, requests, and maintains contracts with community partners.
Serves as a liaison between Community Education and other school district staff and programs.
Collaborates with the Director of Community Enrichment and Engagement to hire, train, and evaluate aquatics personnel.
Research and develop innovative programs and partnerships that serve all members of the school and community
Comfortable using technology to organize and deliver community programs and services
Assist with program marketing throughout the District and the community.
Maintain class information for catalog and website.
Promotes lifelong learning and participation in community programs to enhance the quality of life; provides information and referrals on community services and resources.
Communicate regularly with school staff, office assistants, instructors, service providers, and parents.
Plan and implement new programs to meet changing community needs.
Other duties as assigned

B.A. or B.S. preferred in recreation, education, or a related degree.
Evidence of successful experience in program development, planning, and leadership.
Knowledge of scheduling, contractual agreements, facility use, registration systems, technology systems, and school systems.
Evidence of excellent communication, data management, reporting, and organizational skills
Evidence of ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Evidence of successful supervisory responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the community, vendors, instructors, etc.
The ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
The ability to understand, exchange and convey information.
The ability to receive work direction.
The ability to coordinate programs within budget guidelines.
