Requirements:
State of Minnesota Teaching License K-12
Prefer strong background in teaching math and working with adult learners
Prefer some knowledge of Post-secondary developmental education
Successful background check required

Our program is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity of our teaching staff.

Specific Tasks:
Work collaboratively with the Anoka Ramsey Community College-Cambridge Campus Math Instructor and Professional Math Tutor to deliver an accelerated “Mathematical Foundations with Elementary Algebra Course” for the 2019 and 2020 school semesters.
Plan and deliver “just in time” ABE math content delivery, study skills, etc., on opposite days of the ARCC-Math Instructor’s lectures to students in developmental education math.
Attend the ARCC math instructor lecture hours to provide additional support to students.
Invite guest speakers from college services (counseling, advising, TRIO, etc.) to visit ABE “lab” days.
Ensure all ABE content presented in class is aligned to ABE state standards (CCRS, ACES, Northstar).
Administer TABE Math pre- and post- tests.
Spend time each week collaborating with the ARCC Math Instructor and Professional Math Tutor on content and delivery.
Communicate regularly with the Adult Basic Education Coordinator as to the progress of students and provide necessary updates on the status of the class.
Be flexible, energetic, and engaging in your teaching style and delivery.
Be committed to working with diverse student populations with a variety of needs and challenges.

Hours Per Day:
Approximately 13 hours per week, including teaching, prep, and collaboration. (Monday – Thursday). Hours for training are available before the start of fall semester.

Rate of Pay:
Schedule D in Cambridge-Isanti Teacher Contract
Starting at $25.84- $29.45/hr DOQ
