Work Schedule: 10 am- 6 pm Monday-Friday (8 hours per day)
School Year, Non School Days and Summer:  261
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00

Summary:
The YE Program Assistant is responsible for implementing and adapting a wide variety of enrichment activities for grades K-12. The YE Program Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that program participants have a safe, supportive, interactive, and enriching program experience while ensuring the safety and security of all program participants.

Work Environment:
ISD 622 is a community collaborative dedicated to educating and empowering all learners to excel in oru changing world. As a Curriculum Instructor , the work environment will vary and will consist of on-site and off-site activities as well as outdoor and indoor activities. Activities will take place regularly in the cafeteria, gym, and computer lab; on the playground; at the aquatic parks and various field trip locations throughout the year. Curriculum Instructors must be able to participate and successfully supervise participants in each of these environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and lead daily activities for the participants enrolled in assigned programs.
Complete and turn in weekly reports and activity plans for assigned programs.
Assist in planning and implementing a diversified program to include art, science, service learning, recreational activities and more.
Responsible for maintaining the safety of all participants involved in the program.
Resolve conflicts in a positive manner.
Overall responsibility for the efficiency and quality of the program.
Responsible for planning all equipment and supplies necessary to implement activities for the program and communicating needs to Youth Programs Coordinator.
Seek out new ways to improve the quality of the program and devise creative alternatives for routine activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
4 years experience working with school age students
Willingness to explore and teach a variety of subject areas
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:
College experience or Bachelor Degree in education, recreation, or other related fields is preferred.
Classroom/child care experience leading instructional programs in arts, science, technology, and/or recreation.

Physical Requirements:
Applicant should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time.
