Weight Training/Fitness Instructor – Community Ed Youth Instructor
Community Ed Youth Instructors and Asst. Instructors are responsible for delivery of curriculum of Community School Programs for Preschool-Grade 8.
Date & Hours: November 2017 thru February 2018. After school hours: 3:15 pm to 5 pm; 2 classes a week – a set consistent schedule will be determined, however the selected 2 days of the week can be flexible. Class size is about 20 students or less.
Locations: Roosevelt Middle (nice weight room and fitness area)
Duties include: Weight Training/Fitness Instructor – help middle school students set up a fitness program. Responsible for class room safety and proper use of equipment. Provide student safety and program presentation. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous Weight Training/Fitness Instructor experience preferred. Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred. Advanced training or college degree preferred for coach and assistant coach positions preferred. Previous experience working with middle school ages students preferred.
