Community Education/Youth Program Coordinator — Special assignment through March, 2018

The Richfield Public School District is seeking a .75 FTE Youth Coordinator at Central Education Center for a limited term appointment to develop, implement, promote, and evaluate youth programs and activities offered by the Community Education Department. This is a combined position to fulfill a combination of needs including grant activities and a leave of absence, beginning immediately through March 2018.  We are a growing and changing program! Additional hours may be available during and beyond the appointment.

Rate: $21 – 25 per hour based on experience, plus benefit package.

  • Assessing the availability of youth activities and identifying gaps in offerings and participation
  • Arranging for youth, parent and community focus groups
  • Collecting and compiling information and reports
  • Working with the Community Education team to plan for appropriate youth and family activities and outreach
  • Coordinating and evaluating after-school/evening enrichment classes, non-school day activities and summer programs for youth in the Richfield School District
  • Providing communication and supervision for youth programs and instructors
  • Assisting with community education class and program registrations.
  • Serving on the Community Education department team and assisting with program and building operations.
