Hourly pay rate starting at $26.58 – $41.01 as determined by experience and current Teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement
Early Chidhood license required.

Creates and updates weekly lesson plans with direction from the OWL, Second Step, Handwriting Without Tears, Every Day in Pre-K Math.
Collaborates with preschool staff to align toddler curriculum and standards.
Utilizes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartboard notebook to develop lesson plans and activities.
Utilizes a wide range of instructional techniques (centers, cooperative groups, individual work) with emphasis on providing a language rich environment.
Individually meets each child’s needs in preparation for preschool.
Researches best practices to determine most effective methods for use in the classroom and shares research with staff.
Collaborates with staff and individual teams on curriculum that includes research-based best practices for Early Childhood Family Education classes.
Role model and leader who creates an environment of teamwork, shares resources and collaborates to build community relationships within the classroom, program and in the larger community.
Attends and leads staff meetings.
Follows the mission, principles and guidelines of Early Childhood Family Education.
Other duties as assigned by the program director.

B.S. or B.A. with valid Minnesota teaching license in Early Childhood education.
Ability to work effectively with children and parents.
Multi-cultural awareness, gender fairness, and disability awareness.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Evidence of self-motivation, enthusiasm, patience, problem solving and flexibility.
Evidence of good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in developing early childhood curriculum.
Experience using Smartboards and developing curriculum using Smartboards.
Ability to administer state required early childhood assessments
