Basketball Coaches – Community Ed Youth Instructors
Both boy’s and girl’s programs depending on the site
Community Ed Youth Instructors and Asst. Instructors are responsible for delivery of curriculum of Community School Programs for Preschool-Grade 8.

Date & Hours: Boy’s season: November 2017 thru March 2018.  Girl’s season: January 2018 thru March 2018.  Most schools start practice around 3 pm and end practice around 5 pm; Monday thru Friday.  Game dates are Mondays and Wednesday and games end at 6 pm.

Locations:  Anoka Middle, Coon Rapids Middle, Jackson, Middle, Northdale Middle, Oak View Middle, Roosevelt Middle

Duties include:  Basketball coaching – practice and games management.  Schedule will have 6 to 8 games.  Provide student safety and program presentation.  Perform other duties as assigned.  (Concussion training is required.)

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.  Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.  (Concussion training is required.)

Preferred Qualifications:  Previous Basketball playing and/or Basketball coaching experience preferred.  Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred.  Advanced training or college degree preferred for coach and assistant coach positions preferred.  Previous experience working with middle school ages students preferred.
