Associate Head Start Director

Families First of Minnesota is seeking an individual to serve as its Associate Head Start Director.  This position has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Olmsted and Freeborn County Head Start and Early Head Start Programs including supervision of assigned staff in compliance with program and agency policies and procedures, and in compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, MN Rule 3 and State of Minnesota CACFP regulations and requirements.

The ideal candidate is disposed to creative collaboration, thinks innovatively within complex systems, and exhibits exemplary supervisory practices.  A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or an Associate’s Degree (AA) in Education or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards is helpful as well as experience working with diverse and low-income populations.  The individual chosen for this position must be energetic, detail-oriented, highly motivated and support the Head Start philosophy of partnering with families.
