Adventure Club Program Director

Job level 3 (annual salary of $64,553 to $79,311) based on the 2018-19 salary schedule
Full time, 52 weeks per year
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Program Director is responsible for the administration and supervision of Adventure Club, Early Adventures (full day child care with preschool component), Youth Enrichment and Aquatics; including budget management, programming, quality, marketing, and all aspects of staff supervision. This position is part of the Community Education leadership team and reports to the Executive Director of Community Education.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

●        Responsible for overall supervision of all program staff

●        Develop and manage program budgets

●        Develop, monitor and evaluate program goals

●        Develop and implement effective marketing strategies

●        Develop and maintain enrollment and registration procedures, including fee collection and publication of information

●        Recruit, hire and evaluate lead staff; ensure regular evaluation of staff performance across department

●        Provide a system of staff training and development, including monitoring to assure staff meets training requirements and best practices

●        Develop and review procedures to assure all state and national standards for child care are met

●        Responsible for setting and achieving goals as part of the Community Education team

●        Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS
●        B.A. or B.S. required

●        Experience in youth program management or supervision required

●        Experience with Youth Enrichment programming

●        Experience in program inclusion for youth with special needs

●        Experience working with diverse populations

●        Knowledge of standards of quality within the field such as MAAP, NAEYC,YPQA, etc.

●        Excellent communication skills

●        Excellent technology skills

●        Experience in personnel management

●        Able to attend work regularly and report in a timely manner
