White Bear Lake Area Schools is seeking enthusiastic, highly qualified candidates to join our Community Services and Recreation Department. We provide opportunities for adults to learn new skills, develop interests, connect with others, and become involved in the community. Adult Programs includes: Adult Enrichment, Adults with Disabilities Program and Senior Program/Center.
Start Date: July 9, 2018
Work Week: 8 hrs/day – 40 hrs/week
The Adult Programs Programmer performs intermediate skilled administrative support work creating, planning, implementing and supervising adult program activities, including adult enrichment, senior programs, and adults with disabilities, for the White Bear Lake Community Education and Recreation program, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Adult Programs Coordinator at the White Bear Area Senior Center.
Candidates with experience interacting with older adults and adults with disabilities and/or who can demonstrate experience living in or interacting with and organizing diverse communities and/or have fluency speaking, reading and writing a second non-English language such as Spanish or Hmong.
Education and /or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and moderate experience working in community education, with adults or seniors activity planning, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license in the State of Minnesota.
