Per Adult Education calendar, morning hours to be arranged, approximately 600 hours for the 2018-2019 school year.
Instruct and/or arrange learning opportunities for students based on individual needs in all subject areas needed for Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED, and high school diploma (credit recovery)
Teach ABE, ESL, and certificate courses as needed. Work with students individually and in classroom setting as needed.
Provide a welcoming, engaging environment for adult learners
Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate learner records in compliance with ABE policies.
Supervise and assist classroom tutors.
Work in direct cooperation with Coordinator and other team members to provide learning opportunities and support services as needed for adult learners.
Demonstrate sensitivity to diversity in cultural heritage, lifestyles, and value systems among students and families.
Minimum BA/BS Degree, Current State of Minnesota teaching license. Special Education licensure preferred. Experience working with adults; familiarity with CASAS and TABE testing helpful. Computer literacy required.
Based on the Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Association Master Agreement ABE/ECFE salary schedule.
