Enhancing Your Programmatic Reach
For those who are involved with all aspects of youth programming , youth development and the teaching of youth.

This is a four part series by the University of Minnesota’s Center for Youth Development and MCEA,  with scheduled monthly workshops. You can sign up for all four workshops at a reduced rate for the series, or each topic individually.

1.      “Using Social Emotional Learning in Practice”

Wednesday, October 18,    9:00-12:30

This action based training builds fluency and understanding of how to support social emotional programming by exploring practices that infuse SEL opportunities into your existing programs. Participants will walk away with strategies to intentionally support social emotional skill growth.

2.      “Culturally Responsive Youth Work”

Wednesday, November 8,    9:00-12:30

Integrates the principals of positive youth development and an understanding of the development of an intercultural mindset and skill set in creating culturally responsive practice.

3.      Youth Engagement Matters

Wednesday, December 13,…9:00-12:30

Explores a research framework, Rings of Engagement, which outlines four types of youth engagement and youth-adult partnerships.

4.      “Growing Your Program through Partners”

Wednesday, January 10, 2018…9:00-12:30

Establishes an understanding of the partnership development process while guiding participants through the process of potential community resource/partner identification and viability.
